“To restore the Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood according to the guidelines maintained by the State of Florida Bureau of Historic Preservation; to replace the auditorium on the lake side of the building; to maintain and protect the facility into perpetuity; and to encourage and promote the use of the facility according to its original intentions.”

Fundraising Division

Mission

To provide the finances needed to restore the Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood, replace the auditorium, and maintain and protect the facility into perpetuity

Objectives

Plan and coordinate a variety of fundraising events throughout the year

Ensure that all fundraising events are cost efficient

Ensure that all fundraising events are aligned with our heritage

Include general population in fundraising events

Capital Campaign

Objectives

Apply for foundation and corporate grants to provide seed money

Plan and coordinate at least 6 Walk Through The Past and Into the Future and one giving event each year

To ensure smooth internal operations of the CHOBF

Maintain financial records required for nonprofit organizations

Maintain integrity and transparency in financial dealings

Objectives

Keep public aware at all times of financial situation

Maintain financial records for all donors

Create policies for receiving endowments, delayed giving, pledges, and non-cash gifts

Nominating

Goals

To recruit new board members who will be an asset to the CHOBF

Objectives

Ensure that all potential board members are made aware of board duties and responsibilities

Present nominees for approval by the Board of Directors

Public Relations

Mission

To promote the CHOBF in the community

Ensure community confidence

Build community awareness of building's heritage

Encourage board members and volunteers to relay positive message

Architecture

Mission

To work with the architectural and engineering professionals to restore the auditorium in an way that maximizes its uses, maintains its original personality, and is able to withstand the elements as much as physically possible

Goals

Work with architects to design a large size auditorium with secondary use of meeting rooms
